I got to go out to Outback Steakhouse with my grandma and Dad, and ate to the point that dinner was not necessary. Seriously. But in congratulations of S&E, Grandma gave me a splendidly gorgeous dark blue pearl necklace on a tiny silver chain. I was close to tears, sort of.

Yesterday's Sighting

I  had so much fun telling my friends how I did at S&E competition, and was immensely blushing when the opera-singing superstar guy in concert choir (who got every possible point at his performance) congratulated me on my superior earning. Also, on a more funny note, my best friend/sister has started calling me Lake Superior. All around a great day.

Class ring orders just came in the mail! Just think that two years ago I was helping my cousin pick out his ring and wishing I could make mine. Two years until I graduate! OMGoodness! ...Thank you, Lord, for helping me get this far. :)

Mom and I got quality girl time at MOA and we shopped till we dropped! Cool clothes and a pair of new Sperry's are now residing in my closet. Thank you Father for blessing me with the ability to buy new things! So many people can't and now I really see I need to help others more than my closet needs new stuff.

Saw The Lorax today and absolutely adored it! Cutest movie ever. On the way to bed and all I can think is "My name is Shelbi and I speak for the trees, and they and I would appreciate you listening, please." LOL! God created the earth and I'm sure He appreciates this movie's effort to promote world appreciation and up-keeping!

Today kicked off my and Mom's mini-vacation -- a "home away WHILE at home" sort of thing :) staying at a hotel five blocks from our house to make use of the pool and waterslide. :D WHEE!

Yesterday's Sighting

Spent time with Dad yesterday doing the most unexpected thing - gardening. Spent time in the gorgeous sun and set up a deer repellent over our tulip garden. ^_^ sorry to deprive the wildlife of tasty tulip delicacies but I WANT MY FLOWERS TO SURVIVE! Just as God puts a guard over us from the sinful things of the world. Thank you Lord and Savior!

Oh. My. Goodness. I'm going to explode. Ballroom dancing today in gym, learning the tango, danced with my crush. AIEEEE! He appeared to be completely enjoying himself and I caught him staring at me when we're supposed to look over each other's shoulders. He actually held onto my hands - and longer than he needed to - and complemented my dancing skills. I had the right of mind (thanks Lord) to reply semi-coherently and look away so he wouldn't see me blushing and grinning like an idiot.
